Sue Woolfe has had 4 novels published with mainstream publishers- two adapted for the professional stage- one currently being adapted to an opera – and a book of short stories, as well as scholarly works on creativity. US/Australian writer Jack Dann publicly named her as “the most influential Australian writer of the 20th century”. She has won several awards, including being twice shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers Prize, the US TipTree Award for Gender Bending, and the NSW Premier’s Prize. Recently, she was listed as an Australian treasure when 2 of her novels were listed (and re-printed) as literary treasures.
Sue Woolfe teaches the neuroscience of creativity to playwrights at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and to composers and musicians at the School of Music, The Australian National University (ANU).
